On May 8, 2021, our beautiful Rylie Elizabeth Torres-McQuade passed away suddenly from a motor vehicle accident. Rylie was 12 years old and the first-born child of her mother, Jessica A. McQuade.  She was the daughter of the late Edwin M. Torres. Rylie was the oldest of her 3 siblings, Jake, Karleigh and Mariella whom she loved and cared for as a proud big sister. She is also survived by her siblings Alyssa, Brigid, Cassidy and Edwin Torres. Maternal granddaughter to John and Mary Ellen Pearsall McQuade, niece to Maureen McQuade Conn (Timothy), and baby cousin John Timothy.

Rylie was in 6th grade at Ridley Middle School. She loved going to school, being with her friends and playing the clarinet for the school and district band. Her passions included music, dancing, singing and drawing. Her favorite color was purple, but she would also say her heart was Irish green. Rylie was so proud of her Irish heritage. She was an honorary "Irish Lady". Her love of makeup had her wanting to be a makeup artist one day. She loved animals and took extra special care of her fur puppy cousin "Cash".

Rylie loved spending time with her Mom, Mom Mom, Pop Pop, Aunt Reenie and Uncle Tim. She loved shopping with Mom Mom, going to church with Pop Pop at St Madeline Parish and just hanging at Aunt Reenie's.  Rylie cherished the many road trips to the mountains and jersey shore with her Mom and siblings.  She had a very special bond with her little cousin John. Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ray Sheppard were always close by. Nancy Liddell provided her a safe and loving second home. She cared and nurtured her all her life.

Rylie had a wonderful trait about her which was not found in most children her age. She was an old soul who enjoyed spending time listening and learning. Rylie would step up without being asked to help anyone in need. She did not do it for recognition or praise, she did it because she simply enjoyed being there for her family and friends.

She was a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend who will sadly be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Avenue, Ridley Park, PA  19078 where relatives and friends may call after 9:30AM.  Burial private.
