Ruth Ann Henry Swayngim, 84, of Aston PA, died peacefully at home on March 2nd, 2017.

She was born on March 28th, 1932 in Ridley Park, PA. She was a long time resident of Sharon Hill, PA, until she moved to Aston in 2005 with her daughter and caregiver Carolyn, her husband Leon and their two children Rebecca and Lee.

Ruth was known for her love of life, resilience, humor and feistiness. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, watching her beloved Phillies, and spending time with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, by her friends and family.

She is predeceased by her parents George and Louise Henry; also her siblings George Henry and Grace Pope.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harry Swayngim Sr, and her children Ruth Norbeck (Robert), Harry Swayngim Jr (Carol), George Swayngim (Debbie), Carolyn DiValerio (Leon), 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation followed by a celebration of life will be held at the Brookhaven Community Center, 2 Cambridge Rd, Brookhaven, PA 19015, on Thursday March 9th from 5 – 7 pm will be the visitation and at 7 pm the celebration of life will begin.
