Ruth K. Manning 92, of Aston, died May 4, 2012 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Upper Darby before moving to Aston thirty years ago.
Ruth was retired from JC Penney in Upper Darby. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, ceramics, crossword puzzles, reading and English history.
She was wife of the late Malcolm Souder and the late John D. Manning, mother of the late Richard M. Souder, daughter of the late Walter S. and Jeanette Strauser Smith, sister of the late Janet Fagan and Richard M. Smith. Ruth was also grandmother of the late Kenneth A. Batten and great-grandmother of the late Christopher Batten.
Survivors: her daughter Veronica R. Souder McCarthy (Michael), grandchildren Victoria B. Dalbey, Samantha E. Caris and Patrick M. McCarthy; great-grandmother of Christopher, Randy and Eric Dalbey, Alexis J. and Ryan K. Caris and Liam M. McCarthy.
Visitaion Saturday, May 12, 2012 1:00 to 2:00PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston.
Burial private.
