Ruth E. Eckhoff

Ruth E. Eckhoff (nee Savin), 99 of Folsom died on May 8, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Julia Long Savin.

Ruth was a graduate of John Bartram High School, class of 1945. She was previously a Den Mother with Cub Pack #41 when her son Mark was a Cub Scout and was a former volunteer for the Republican Party of Ridley Township. She was a philanthropic women who contributed to many charities both locally and nationally.

Ruth was an avid Phillies and 76ers fan, especially when Allen Iverson played on team, but most important to her was her loving family.

She was the wife of the late John J. Eckhoff who died on August 14, 1999 after 45 years or marriage, mother of Mark C. Eckhoff (Mary), grandmother of Katherine Eckhoff, sister of the late Ethel Huhn, Julia Burnett and Louise Fitzgerald and is survived by a special niece Ruth Ann Simotas.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday May 20, 2026 beginning at 11 AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston followed by a 12 PM Memorial Service. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
