Ruth M. Culbertson (nee Farley), 98 of Chestnut Ridge and a longtime resident of Ridley Park died on July 23, 2025.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen iola (nee Wright) Farley.

Ruth was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls, class of 1944 and was a member of The Church of St. Madeline in Ridley Park.  Before her retirement, Ruth was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Cannon Properties and had previously worked at the Philadelphia Federal Reserve.  She was an avid reader and always enjoyed bowling, completing crossword puzzles and trips to the casinos.  Most important was time spent with her family, especially her cherished grand and great-grandchildren.

Ruth's family would like to thank everyone at Chestnut Ridge for their wonderful care and friendship, especially Erica who did Ruth's hair every Tuesday, and also to Holisticare Hospice for their dedication to our mom.

Ruth was the wife of the late Francis R. Culbertson, Jr., mother of Patricia H. McCrossan, Francis R. Culbertson, III (Kristina) and Janet C. Doubet (Joseph), grandmother of Melissa Culbertson, Blake Culbertson, Joseph Doubet, Jr. (Ellen), Holly Dean (Vincent) and William McCrossan (Kara), she is also survived by seven great-grandchildren (soon to be eight) and Ruth was predeceased by her six siblings.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM.
