Russell E. Graves, 98 of Aston, died October 29, 2012 at Taylor Hospice Residence.
Born in Somerville, MA he lived in Essington before moving to Aston 50 years ago.
He was a sheet metal worker for Boeing Co. in Ridley Township, retiring in 1976.
Mr. Graves was a member of Concord Lodge #625, F.&A.M., the Delaware Consistory and was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Essington where he served as a deacon. He loved Philadelphia sports teams, including the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and the Union Soccer.
He also was a Ham radio operator, where his call letter was WA3JMM and the Mobile Sixers.
Mr. Graves was husband of the late Emma Ford Graves; son of the late Elmer A. and Carrie E. Nickerson Graves and brother of the late Earl Graves.
Survivors: his daughter Winona A. Neall (David); granddaughter Michelle Sullivan; also great grandchildren Jared, Logan and Kayla and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service 11:00AM with a Masonic Service at 10:45AM on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston. Visitation after 10:00AM. Burial private.
