Roy E. Faries, 59, a lifelong resident of Delaware County , died suddenly on May 19, 2021 at his home in Essington.

Roy attended Interboro High School and was a member at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church.  He was last employed as a carpet installer for Pat McCarthy Carpet and was also a self employed subcontractor for other flooring companies.  Roy enjoyed playing his guitar, going fishing and was a caregiver for his late uncle Orian.

He was son of the late William Edgar Faries and father of the late Jason Faries.

Roy is survived by his mother Mary Jane Horne, his son Kevin Faries and his mother Denise Billbrough, his grandchildren; Jayson Ross Faries and Jazman Darlene Faries, his sisters; Dawn Stinger Grisillo (Bobby) and Christina Marie Stinger (Kathy Diemer), his aunt Janice Horne Walls and her family, and Barbara Casto (mother of Jason)
