Rosemary Shea, 70, passed quietly and peacefully from this life on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Crozer-Keystone Hospice after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and was surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Rose was born on July 26, 1946, was raised in Chester and resided in Ridley Township since 1971. She was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1964. She spent most of her working career, 47 years, at Harowe Servo Controls, now Portescape, retiring in May 2012.
Most important to Rose was her family and friends and she was devoted to the care of her loving mother.
She enjoyed golf, bowling, bingo, traveling and was an avid sports person and a fan of the Eagles and Phillies. Rose took pride in being the regional Marble Champion in 1957.
Rose was preceded in death by her devoted father, Henry D. Shea.
She is survived by her mother, Louise B. Shea; brothers, Richard F. Shea (Howard) and Walter D. Shea (Gail); nieces, Jennifer Penrod (Andy) and Cindy Shea; great niece, Emily Penrod; and great nephew, Tyler Penrod.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM and after 9 AM on Saturday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311, N. Swarthmore Ave. Ridley Park, PA 19078. Funeral service will be 10 AM at the funeral home followed by burial at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
