Rosemary Galbraith (née Montijo), aged 87, passed away on April 29, 2024, in Easton, Maryland. Born on February 7, 1937, to José and Nicolasa Montijo in Ventura, California, Rosemary was a cherished resident of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, for over 30 years. She was the beloved wife of James J. Galbraith, whom she married in 1959 and who preceded her in death in 2007.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Gayle Galbraith; grandchildren Lynnette Galbraith, Nichole Chapman, Pamela Foulke, and Penelope Nowak; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James "Chipper" Galbraith, who died at age 23, and her siblings Nick, Maggie, Joe, Bill, Reggie, and Rita, whom she loved dearly.
Rosemary will be remembered for her beauty—inside and out—and her indomitable spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the ability to find joy and humor in everyday life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. "Ay te watcho!" (See you later!)
Visitation 9:30 to 10:30 AM on June 1, 2024 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 430 Valleybrood Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342, a Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment services will be held immediately after Mass in the adjoining church cemetery.
