RoseAnn M. Haday (Curay), 81, of Aston died Aug. 27, 2015 at The Belvedere Center.
Born in Media, PA, RoseAnn graduated from Notre Dame High School. A woman of deep faith, she believed in her Prayer to St. Anthony to find things and was devoted to The Infant of Prague and the Rosary. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph where she sang in the choir for several years.
Mrs. Haday retired from the Penn-Delco School District where she worked for more than 20 years as a one-on-one classroom aide with Special Education students.
RoseAnn was the wife of 44 years to the late Eugene "Mike" Haday. They made their home in Aston ever since they married in 1955. Together they enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren, traveling, casinos, and dancing. Watching them jitterbug or polka was incredible. We can only imagine what Dancing with the Stars in Heaven will be like for these two!
Known as "Mrs. Haday" and 'Mom-Mom" to everyone, she was a beautiful, gentle, loving, and giving woman, devoted to her family who meant the world to her.
She especially enjoyed preparing ethnic foods for family gatherings. Her specialties included kielbasa and sauerkraut, pierogies from KYJ's bakery, potato pies, apple pies, apple cakes, and Christmas cookies.
For her children and grandchildren, she was the #1 fan; always present at sporting events, musicals, concerts, and dance recitals. And, she was a Phillies Phanatic. Chase Utley was her all-time favorite player and no game was complete without a Dairy Queen Buster Bar in hand for the first pitch.
She will be greatly missed by all who couldn't help but love her.
Survivors: Her loving children Mary Beth (Bruce), Judi (Larry), Mickey, Bernadette, and John; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; her God-children Lois, Vaune, and Brenda; her sisters Aggie and Lena; sister-in-law and life-long friend Marian; favorite niece "Our Terry"; special friend and neighbor Mitzy; brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
