Obituary
Rose Ann Zaffiri Schaefer, 83, of Ridley Park, died June 10, 2014 at Taylor Hospice Residence.
Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Alfred and Amina Chiavaroli Zaffiri, she lived in Clifton Heights before moving to her late residence in 1960.
Rose was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School, class of 1948 and was employed as an administrative assistant for the County of Delaware since 1977.
She enjoyed bowling and the casinos. Rose was dedicated to work and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Fulvio Zaffiri and Norma Olivieri.
Rose was mother of David J. Schaefer (Rita) and John J. Schaefer, Jr. (Kathy), grandmother of David Schaefer, Jr., John J. Schaefer,III, Amanda Schaefer and Brianna Schaefer and sister of Mary Canosa and Osvaldo Zaffiri.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA where friends may call after 10:00 AM.
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
