Rose Potts Neary Rowe, 80 formerly on Somers Point, NJ died April 16, 2011 at Sterling Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in Ridley Park for 33 years before moving to Somers Point.
She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1948. She was employed as a Bank Teller at Southeast National Bank offices in Ridley Township and Tinicum and previously was a sales representative for Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church where she was a former Secretary of the PTA and a Prefect of BVM Sodality. She formerly a committeewoman of Crum Lynne First Ward and was devoted to her home and family.
She was daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen McAviney Potts, wife of the late James E. Rowe who died December 18, 2010 and twin sister of the late Rita Thompson.
Survivors: children Edward Neary, Jr. of Atlantic City, NJ, John Neary (late Midge) of Eddystone, Tracy Neary Benson of Woodlyn and Joseph Neary (Jacqueline) of Swedesboro, NJ; step-children Terri Saunders (Frank) of Friedens, PA and Lori McHale (Matt) of Limerick, PA. brothers, Larry Potts of Arizona and John Potts of Blakesley, PA. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service and Visitation: 2 PM Tuesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park where friends way call after 1 to 3 PM.
