Rose M. Monaghan (nee Baptiste), 81 of Garnet Valley died on October 22, 2025.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Artymovicz Baptiste. She lived in Ridley Park and Lincoln University before moving to Garnet Valley in 2007.

Rose was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1961 and before her retirement was employed as a secretary at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park.  She was a current member of St. Cornelius R.C. Church. While living in Ridley Park she was a member of St. Madeline Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister and active in Marriage Encounter. Rose enjoyed traveling and loved hosting friends and family, but most important was the time she spent with her family, especially her cherished grandsons.

She was the loving wife of the late George R. Monaghan who died on October 24, 2004 after 42 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter Diana Monaghan Alesi and her sons Michael, Nicholas and Vincent Alesi and her son Ryan Monaghan (Rebecca) and their sons Conor and Jacob.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, October 30, 2025 at St. Madeline Parish, 400 Morton Avenue, Ridley Park where a Eulogy will begin at 10:20 AM.  Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
