Rose Galuppi (nee Policarpo), loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, bookkeeper, and resident of Swarthmore, PA died July 21, 2012 at Crozer Chester Hospital. She was 90.

Rose was born in 1922 to John Policarpo and Frances Policarpo (nee Della Penna) in Philadelphia. Both parents had emigrated from Chieti, located in the Abruzzi region of Italy. She was a 1940 graduate of South Philadelphia High School. She married Raymond Galuppi in 1943 and resided in Upper Darby and Overbrook prior to spending her last year in Swarthmore.

Rose was a devoted and loving matriarch who enjoyed sharing her Italian heritage and traditions. She was well-known for her quick wit, enduring strength, and constant devotion to her family and friends. As the dynamic head of the beautiful family she created, Rose will be greatly missed.

Predeceased by her husband in 1991 and daughter, Kathleen Paczosa (John, dec. 1992) in 2009, she is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Richardson (Robert) of Swarthmore PA, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 9:30 AM at St. John Chrysostom Church, 615 South Providence Road (Route 252), Wallingford, PA 19086.
