Roosevelt A. "Roo" Castro, 34 of Ridley Park died on February 5, 2024.
Roo was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School, class of 2008 and was a member of St. Barnabas R.C. Church.  He was a self-employed photographer and enjoyed Jiu Jitsu, traveling and skiing but the most important part of his life was spending time with his loving family and friends.
He was the husband of 14 years to Marlegnne "Marle" Checo Castro, father of Ari Roman Castro and Roosevelt Axel Castro, son of Aristofanes Costrode La Cruz, raised by Ramon "Tony" Gomez and Elizabeth Acosta Gomez, grandson of Elena Garcia, brother of Katherine Gomez Polanco, Desiree Gomez, Ramon Gomez, Moises Castro, Genesis Castro, Yessenia Castro, Ariela Castro, Veronica Castro, Rafael Sanchez, Manuel Nicolas Sanchez, Madelyne Rojas and Juan Carlos Catala, uncle of Victoria Polanco, Kailey Polanco, Efrain Gomez, Raymond Gomez, Enzo Gomez, Ryan Gomez, Nala Catala, Manuel Rojas and Nathan Catala.
Funeral Mass 11 AM, Monday February 12, 2024 at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 6300 Buist Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19142 where a viewing will take place from 8 AM - 10:30 AM.  Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
