Ronald V. Roma 89 of Ridley Park, died on March 10, 2013 at The Wallingford Nursing Home.
Born in Crum Lynne, he has lived at his late residence for the past 60 years.
Mr. Roma was a parking lot manager for Sovereign Bank in Media for 7 years, retiring in 2010 and prior to that was in partnership with his brother Fil, owning the Quality Market in Chester from 1949 until 1987.
He was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and a graduate of Ridley Township High School, Class of 1941.
Mr. Roma served as a Merchant Marine during WWII. He loved his pool, enjoyed North Wildwood and fishing; but most important to him was helping others and being with his family.
Ronald was the husband of the late Irma A. Pfalzer Roma, his wife of 57 years, who died in 2009, son of the late Pasquale and Lucy Persicone Roma and brother of the late Elvira Talbot.
Survivors: his daughter Irma Roma Lavella (Joe); his granddaughter Joanne Lavella; great grandsons Justin and Ryan Thompson; also his brother Fil Roma.
