Roger F. Miersch, 77 of Milmont Park died on April 7, 2023 at his home. Born in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Donald F. and Ellen Pearson Miersch, he lived in Radnor before moving to Milmont Park 40 years ago.
Roger was proud veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Education from MacMurray College in Illinois and a Master's Degree from Colgate University. Roger was employed as an Executive at Commtrak Corporation in Lewes, DE for 27 years before his retirement in 2022 and had previously taught World Culture at Ridley High School. He also spent two years in Nigeria with the Peace Corp and six weeks studying in Egypt on a Fulbright Scholarship. Roger enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and driving on the Delaware beaches.
He was the loving husband of 39 years to Peggy Scheib Miersch, father of Steven P. Miersch (Megan) and David R. Miersch (Ashley), he is also survived by his cherished grandson Grady R. Miersch and his four legged red head Ruby.
Funeral Liturgy 11 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call 9:00 to 10:30 AM. Entombment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
