Obituary

Rodney D. Stoner, 81, of Ridley Park, died on December 19, 2021.  Born in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Rudolph and Janet Treczyski Stoner, he lived in Philadelphia before moving to his late residence 45 years ago.
Rodney was a graduate of Lincoln Technical School, class of 1959 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Math from The University of Buffalo.  He was veteran of the US Air Force and had been employed as a Sorter for the US Postal Service for 44 years before retiring in 2010.  Rodney was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting.  He also taught himself Spanish and was a talented woodworker.  He enjoyed reading and watching World War II movies and documentaries but most important was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Scarle Stoner, his sons, Steven R. Stoner (Amanda J. Sickler) and David J. Stoner (Nicole), his sister Linda Austin (late Frank) and his grandchildren Kassy Palladino, Ryan D. Stoner and Abigail Evelyn Stoner.
A Celebration of Rodney's life will be announced at a later date.
