Robert Lawrence "Larry" Swavely, 83 of Holmes died on August 12, 2025 at his home.  Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Elise (nee Appenzeller) Swavely.

Larry had been employed as an assembler at The Budd Company for 30 years before his retirement in 1999.  He was a member at the School House Senior Center and of the United Auto Workers of America.  Larry loved music, especially Elvis Presley and he enjoyed eating out, watching old movies, westerns and Turner classics.  He also loved telling stories and reminiscing with his family and friends.

He was the father of Linda A. Minton (Paul, Jr.) and Angela Swavely (Anthony), brother of the late Susan Gustafson, Linda Tomasulo and Louise Wheaton, grandfather of Linda Rossley and great-grandfather of Domenic Langan and Mila Rossley, he is also survived by nieces, nephews and his former wife Elizabeth Dougherty Swavely.  Larry was predeceased by his longtime companion Helen Pennington and survived by her children Helen, Bob and Barb.

Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where a viewing will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial private.
