Bob graduated from St. Rose of Lima Elementary School and St. James High School, class of 1961.  He was employed as a Deputy Sheriff in Delaware County before retiring in 2014 and had previously been a Police Officer in Lower Chichester and Marcus Hook.  After retirement, he worked as a bus driver for the Penn Delco School District.  Bob was a longtime member of the Viscose Fire Company and served multiple terms as Chief of the Marcus Hook Fire Company.  He was also a member of the Deputy Sheriffs Association of PA.  Bob was an avid Philadelphia sport fan and loved the beach at Wildwood Crest.  He was devoted to his family.

Bob was father of Susan M. Starr (Ron), Stephen, Robert, Matthew and Caitlyn Sides, grandfather of Eric Starr and Jaclyn Sides, great-grandfather of Lilly Bennett, Jackson and Harlee Nickson, and brother of the late Eugene J., Richard and Paul F. Sides, III.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 8:30 to 10:15 AM, Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester, Pike, Eddystone.  Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
