Of Thornbury Township, loving husband of Bettie Shields (nee Neff). Devoted father of Linda Shields Osborne (George) and Debbie Shields Harnsberger (Dennis), son of Mary Shields (nee Feeser) and the late T. Stanley Shields. Brother of Mary Louise Shields Hannum. Grandfather of Linda Marie DePalo, Robert T. F. Harnsberger and Christine E. A. Harnsberger, great-grandfather of Summer L. M. Harnsberger.
Funeral service 1 PM Thursday, May 21, 2009 at St. James Episcopal Church, 409 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335 where friends may call after 12 noon. Burial private.
Memorial gifts may be made to Jefferson Hospice, #400 One Radnor Corporate Center, 100 Matsonford Road, Radnor, PA 19087-4597 or in memory of Bob do something nice for a stranger.
