Robert "Bobby" Reid Austin, 66 of Ridley Park, died October 16, 2011 at Taylor Hospice Residence.

Born in Bryn Mawr, he lived in Philadelphia before mvoing to his late residence 35 years ago.

He was a pipefitter at the V.A. Medical Center in Philadelphia for 13 years, retiring in 2003 and previously worked at the Philadelphia Naval Yard.

Bobby was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Viet Nam War and was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #7213 in Norwood and the Avondale Gun Club.

Survivors; his wife of 42 years Marlene R. Leombrone Austin, his son Michael R. Ausitn (Diana), and also his siblings; Joan Karras (George ), Metta Austin and Richard Austin.

Funeral Service; 11:30AM Friday, October 21, 2011 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 10:30AM. Burial private.
