Obituary

Robert G. Meserole, 71 of Woodlyn, died October 5, 2012 at home.


Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived there until moving to his late residence 13 years ago.


Mr. Meserole was a railman for the New York Transit Authority for 28 years, until retiring in 1999.


After that, he worked for Aramark Food Service at Citizens Bank Park and was also a crossing guard for Ridley Township at Edgewood School.


He was a U.S. Navy veteran, also serving in the Naval Reserve. He was a member of the American Legion Post #777 in Crum Lynne and enjoyed wood carving.


Mr. Meserole was son of the late Edward and Margaret Joyce Meserole and brother of the late Edna and Frankie.


Survivors: his wife of 26 years Jean A. Watters Meserole and her children Jeanann, Michael, and Robert; his brother Edward Meserole (Kathleen); eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.


Funeral Mass 10:30AM Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, Fairview Rd. and Michigan Ave., Swarthmore. Visitation from 9:15 to 10:15AM at the Church. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
