Robert "Bob" D. Elliott 69 of Aston, died on April 19, 2017 at his home. Born in Chester, he lived in Parkside before moving to his late residence 24 years ago.
Bob was a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 2002.He then worked part time in the mailroom at Plumbmaster.
He was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1965 and was a decorated U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, hockey, history and reading but most important to him was his family. He also enjoyed hosting crab parties in the summertime.
He was the son of the late Daniel F. Elliott and brother of the late Michael Elliott.
Bob was the loving husband of Edith "Edie" Whartnaby Elliott, his wife of 27 years, who survives. He is also survived by his mother, Christiane Taboni Elliott; his children, Robert D. Elliott, Jr. (Gail), Matthew L. Elliott and Lori M. Brown; brothers, James, Allen, William, Daniel and Joseph Elliott; also his grandchildren, Kyle, Alex and Katie Elliott and Mason Brown.
Funeral Service 10:30AM Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call from 9:15 to 10:15AM. Burial Edgewood Memorial Park.
