Robert C. Dunn, 69 of Ridley Park, died on March 14, 2013 at Taylor Hospice Residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Elmer M. and Mildred Senf Dunn and lived in the city until moving to his late residence 46 years ago.

Bob was a teacher at the Smedley Middle School in the Chester Upland School District for 30 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1961 and Millersville University, class of 1967. Bob was a member of Ridley Park Presbyterian Church where he served as a Trustee.


Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He lived life to the fullest! Family was number one to Bob, especially spending time with his grandchildren, Bobby and Chloe.

Bob also enjoyed over 20 years of Tuesday nights with special friends. Bob was a member of the Ridley Township Old Timers Hall of Fame, a founding member of the Ridley Township Fast Pitch Softball Association, a member of Upland AC Fast pitch Softball team, a founding member and President of the Delco Dart League, and a lifelong supporter of all Ridley High School sports.

Bob will be missed by many; everyone he met is better for having the opportunity to have spent time with him!!


Survivors; loving wife of 46 years Carol Holst Dunn; children Stephanie Dunn Prosseda (Jack) and Robert C. Dunn, Jr. (Regina); siblings Ann Dunn Sparks (W.Donald) and David E. Dunn (Donna); grandchildren Robert C. Dunn, III and Chloe M. Dunn; "granddaughter" Brenda Pohlig; brother-in-law Robert F. Holst; many nieces and nephews.


Memorial Service 11:00AM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call 9 to 10:45AM.
