Robert J. "Bob" Clancy, Jr., 67 of Ridley passed away on June 9, 2026.
Bob was the beloved husband of Margaret (Peg) Clancy for 45 years; devoted father of Ellen Doubet (Joseph) and Robert J. Clancy, III (Amanda), cherished Pop of Joey, Kate, and Claire Doubet; and Benjamin and William Clancy. Loving brother of Barbara Clancy-Sweeney, Kathy Wilson (Chuck), Brian Clancy and Garrett Clancy (Stacy), brother-in-law and friend of Bill McLaughlin (late Peggy), Joanne Kerins (Tom), Ed McLaughlin (Lynn), Eileen Brown Orr and Nora Dever (Jim), and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born in Philadelphia, to the late Robert and Sophie Stewart Clancy. Bob graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1976 where he was a varsity athlete in baseball and swimming. He went on to build a long and successful career with Philadelphia Energy Solutions (previously ARCO, Sunoco, Inc.) retiring after a many years of dedicated service in a variety of roles.
Summer was Bob's favorite time of the year. He could be found golfing, gardening, cooking, diving and swimming with his grandchildren, and enjoying family vacations at the NJ and FL beaches. He loved cheering on the Eagles and watching the golf channel.
Guided by his Catholic faith, Bob was a natural teacher, always willing to share his knowledge, offer encouragement, and lend a helping hand. Above all else, Bob's greatest joy was his family. He treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren and had immense pride in their accomplishments. He shared a special bond with each of them, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and adventure that they will cherish forever.
Bob will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his generous heart, and his ability to bring fun wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.

Visitation 6:30 to 8:30 PM Monday, June 15, 2026 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park and from 9:45 to 10:45 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where a Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM. Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
