Robert J. Cieslik, 89, of Glen Mills died on December 3, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Robert and Angela Kornic Cieslik, he lived in Aston before moving to Glen Mills.
Robert was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1950 where he played on the baseball team, and he also received a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer from Villanova University in 1978. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War for which he received the Occupation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. During his working career he was employed as an Engineer at Scott Paper Company and then at Boeing. Robert was a Civil War buff, who also enjoyed golfing and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, but most important was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Heckman Cieslik, his daughters; Denise Ashton (Donald) and Judeth Capotrio (Michael) and his grandchildren; Courtney Roy (Ashley), Michael R. Capotrio and Brianna Ashton.
Funeral Mass 11 AM Friday, January 14, 2022 at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston. Burial Edgewood Memorial Park.
