Richard F. Zannier, 69. My beloved husband and soul-mate was sadly taken from me on July 30, 2011 at Taylor Hospice Residence after battling cancer for four months.
Born in Upland, Mr. Zannier lived in St. Petersburg, FL and Secane prior to moving to Ridley Park in 2009.
Rich was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, Class of 1959. He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker at L.J. Stephens & Son in Essington for 20 years, and previously worked at Essington Metal Works.
He was a member of North Chester Baptist Church and was a man of faith and committed to the Lord. He was a loving a devoted husband and caring father.
He enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake, traveling, restoring classic cars, working around the house and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Rich will be sorely missed.
He was son of the late Gotilff and Ernestine Hansmann Zannier and brother of the late Eleanor Ward.
Survivors: his wife of 48 years, Gail A. Young Zannier, son Richard T. Zannier of Elwyn and sisters Anna Marie Anderson, Mathilde Wiley and Trudy Wolske, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10 to 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park
