Obituary

Richard M. Wiernicki 67 of Aston Township, died October 23, 2014 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor.

Born in Darby, he was son of the late Edward Wiernicki and lived in Chester before moving to his late residence in 2006.

Richard was an Aircraft Mechanic at Boeing for 20 years, retiring in 2010. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Army Commendation Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge.

Richard was a member of the West End Boat Club, Media Moose Lodge #2189, Bonaventure Clark VFW Post #6613, and a life member of both the Lenni A.C. and the American Legion Post #926. He loved singing and playing music.

Richard was known as "The Wiz" for his ability for fixing motors and electronics.

Survivors: his loving wife Bettyanne; his mother Betty Kisel Wiernicki; stepson James Elliott (Terry); brother Edward Wiernicki (Patti); granddaughter Angelina Elliott and cousins, aunts and uncle.

Memorial Service 10:00AM Friday, April 10, 2015 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Ro., Aston where friends may call after 10:00AM
