Richard A. "Rich" Massary, 86, of Aston died on November 24, 2023 at his home. Born in Salem, MA, the son of the late Alfred and Irene Levesque Massary, he lived in Sharon Hill and Folsom for many years before moving to Aston two years ago.
Rich was a graduate of Hamilton High School, class of 1955 and received a bachelor's degree in Aeronautics from St. Louis University. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and was employed as an Electronics Test Technician in the Military Division of Magnavox for 25 years before retiring in 1996.
After retiring he worked part time at 320 Market Cafe. He had also previously worked at the Boeing Company. Rich was a former member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church where he sang in the choir and most recently was a member of The Church of St. Joseph in Aston. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and also built his own kayak and sang in a barbershop quartet. Rich enjoyed photography and flying but most important was his loving family.He was the loving husband of Joann M. Venuti Massary, father of Jeanne T. Massary, Richard J. Massary (Kamala), Alfred H. Massary and Paul A. Massary, grandfather of Maya, Jason, Joseph and Justin, brother-in-law of Josephine Venuti Schatzman, and is also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills PA 19342.
