Obituary

Richard J. Carroll, 72, of Malvern, died a peaceful death on August 5, 2022 surrounded by his family. The son of the late Richard and Vetora Mercadante Carroll, Richard was born in Chester and graduated from St. James High School, class of 1968. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and often told fond stories of his adventures while stationed in Italy.


Richard spent 30+ years in the Healthcare industry, most notably as Vice President of Managed Services at Siemens Healthcare and Chief Information Officer for Crozer- Keystone Health System. Richard cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, and loved making people smile with his jokes. He will be forever missed.

Richard was the loving husband of 51 years of Lynda Anne Iannucci Carroll, father of Richard C. Carroll (Kristine), Tiffany Velez (Antonio) and DeAnna Hain (Joel), grandfather of Kaidyn, Vitora, Hailey, Nicolas, Patrick, Desmond and the late Joel Jeffrey Hain. He was the brother of John Carroll, Timothy Carroll, Coleen Plyler, Anne Hall and the late Kathleen Carroll.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at St. Mary Magdalen R.C. Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd., Media, PA where relatives and friends may pay their regards from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. The burial will be private.
