Richard J. "Poor Richard" Bellwoar, 83 of Springfield, PA died on November 23, 2010 at Springfield Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, son of the late William and Frances Kelly Bellwoar.

Mr. Bellwoar was reared in East Lansdowne and lived in Thorofare and Woolwich, NJ before moving to Springfield two years ago.

He was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys and served during WWII with the U.S. Navy, receiving the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

Mr. Bellwoar loved trips to Delaware Park and Atlantic City.
He was a Sales Rep for Hardware Supply Co. in Philadelphia.

His loving wife Eleanor Cummings Belllwoar, died September 2, 2006. He was brother of the late Thomas and WIlliam Bellwoar.
Mr. Bellwoar is survived by his brother Robert E. Bellwoar (Patricia) of Springfield, PA, He is uncle of Linda M. Piekarski (Stanley), Robert E. (Annette) and Richard T. (Jeanne) Bellwoar. Great uncle of Jennifer, Michael, Heather, Richie, Rachel, Rory, Kyle, Alex and the late Gregory and great-great uncle of Landon who Richard always said "He's really something."

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Monday at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, 153 Penn Blvd., East Lansdowne, PA where friends may call from 9:00 to 9:45AM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
