Rhoden E. "Rody" Walls, 85, of Secane died December 21, 2011 at his summer home in Potnets Bayside, DE. Born in Springfield, Mr. Walls lived in Eddystone prior to moving to his late residence 61 years ago.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and was last employed by Power Tech, Inc. and previously worked at Westinghouse. He was a charter member of the Primos/ Secane Fire Company as well as a member of the Potnets Home Owners Assoc. and Cat Nippers, and was a former Boy Scout Leader. Rody was an Amateur Radio Operator K3YPF and loved the seashore and boating, he was also known as "Mr. Fix-It."
Mr. Walls was son of the late Millard and Rachel Edwards Walls.
Survivors: his wife of 64 years, Gisele Barry Walls and his son Gary S. Walls (Ruth), also survived by his grandchildren Stephen, Jeff and Ruthie.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Thursday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park
Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Wednesday and after 9:30 AM Thursday at the funeral Home
Burial: Eastlawn Cemetery
