Regina B. "Jean" Humphreys, 88, of Rutledge died December 12, 2016 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Sweeney Humphreys and resided in Portsmouth, VA before moving to her late residence nine years ago.
Jean was a graduate of Notre Dame High School Moylan, class of 1946 and the Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing. She served as a Commander in the US Navy for 23 years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars before retiring in 1975. Jean was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, she served Meals on Wheels and was a former member of the Red Hat Society. Jean also sang in the church choir while living in Virginia. Most important was her devotion to her family. Jean will be missed by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Maginnis (Peter) and Margaret H. "Peggy" Rodden
Jean is survived by her sister, Ethel Brennan (William); her brother-in-law, Raymond A. Rodden; her niece and caregiver, Mary Worland; 21 other nieces and nephews; also, many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Monday at church
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
