Regina A. "Jean" Butakis, 75 of Woodlyn, died January 16, 2015 at Crozer-Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Born in Chester, daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie T. Chapo Swanger, she had been a resident of Woodlyn for over 50 years.
Jean was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1957 and was employed as a Sales Representative for Fante's Cookware in Philadelphia for over 20 years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and was former member of the Our Lady of Peace Women's Auxiliary. Jean enjoyed cooking and crafts, but most important was her time with her family and her dog Duke.
Survivors: her husband of 58 years, Walter P. Butakis, Jr., children; Walter P. "Butch" Butakis, III (Chris), Geralyn "Geri" Mills (Elmer), Deborah "Debbye" Oristaglio (Greg) and Steven Butakis (Tina), sister Carol DiMatteo, also ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and baby #7 any day.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone where friends may call 9 to 9:45 AM
