Regina "Jean" M. Guss 90 of Woodlyn died on October 26, 2017 at Conner Williams Nursing Home.

Born and reared in Allport, PA she lived in Harrisburg and Gettysburg before moving to Woodlyn in 1947. Jean was a Secretary at John Modesti Real Estate for 30 years.

Jean was a graduate of Morris Township High School, class of 1943 and attended Penn State University.

She was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Young at Heart Seniors and enjoyed reading, sewing, pinochle and bridge; however most important was her Faith and her family, especially her grandchildren.

Jean was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lilly Carlson Merrow; wife of the late Harry G. Modesti, Harold R. Guss and Warren F. Guss, Jr.; mother of the late John Modesti and step mother of the late James Guss and William F. Guss; also predeceased by her siblings, Allan Merrow, Raymond Merrow, Jr., Craig Merrow and Arnold Merrow.

Jean is survived by her children, April Modesti, Harry Modesti (Theresa) and Arthur Modesti, Esq.; her stepchildren Warren F. Guss,III (Christina), Patricia Baker, Barbara Jeanne Ensminger (Dan), H. Robert Guss, Jr. (Janet), Fred N. Guss (Nancy) and Cheryl L. Smith; also 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Funeral Service 10:00AM Saturday, October 28, 2017 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fairview Road and Lukens Ave., Woodlyn, PA where friends may call 8:45 to 9:45AM.
