Obituary

Raymond J. Duda, 87 of Woodlyn died December 18, 2011 at his son's home in Vienna, VA.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Duda lived in Chester prior to moving to Woodlyn in 1951.

He was a graduate of Chester High School and was a Corporal in the Co. M 2nd Inf. Division of the U.S. Army during WWII where he received the American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WWII Victory and the Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Duda was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church where he served as an usher and of the Knights of Columbus.

He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Chester and after retirement worked many years with is brothers-in-law, James and John Iacono, at the former MacDade House. Raymond was an avid golfer and longtime member of The Sports Club where he was a constant fixture. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

He was son of the late Anthony and Katherine Postich Duda and brother of the late Catherine Krawczyk and Arthur Duda.

Survivors: his wife of 67 years, Lucy Iacono Duda, his sons Raymond A. Duda (Roslyn) and Joseph J. Duda (Jean), brothers Edward and Thomas Duda, also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas and Elizabeth Duda.

Funeral Mass: 10 AM Thursday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033

Visitation: 8:30 to 9:30 AM Thursday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park

Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
