IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond Visciano
Amendolia, Sr.
February 1, 2025
Raymond Visciano Amendolia, Sr. Born December 6th, 1966 at Jefferson Hospital and passed away suddenly February 1st, 2025 in Springfield, Pa.
A native of Packer Park, Philadelphia. Raymond started his journey at Roman Catholic school. From a very young age he had a love and passion for cars and pursued that as a career as he transitioned into adulthood. While growing up, he enjoyed spending time with his friends from the neighborhood, going on their little adventures and making memories. He was always a beacon of excitement for those around him. He spent the majority of his childhood with his grandmother and uncle Johnny. Giving them Moments to last a lifetime. And also learning how to be a man in the process.
In 1985 he met the love of his life Michele at Discovery in Ridley. They went on to have four children and Raymond loved them more than all of his passions combined that consisted of music, movies, cars, comedy, cooking and the shore. He relished in being able to spend time with his children, taking them on road trips or beach weekends at the shore. Going to arcades and pizza places to celebrate different family events. Sitting on a dock at the bay fishing talking about tales of his father and uncle before him. Being able to instill life lessons to his children to let them know that sticking together and being a family was what is most important.
He enjoyed fixing and painting cars and motorcycles. He was an avid fan of sports as well, specifically NASCAR with Dale Earnhardt and Dale Junior, he shared that bond with his son, Raymond Jr, and collected memorabilia to keep that passion alive. He always felt free and at peace when he was behind the wheel on an open road, listening to music from his youth. Some of his favorites were Corvettes, Porsches, JDM imports, and 60/70 Chevrolets. Some of his favorite films throughout his life were ones of characters with great triumph, such as Rocky, Back to the Future, The Fast and The Furious, Batman, and Superman. He always aspired to be like the people he saw in movies and having a grander purpose than the one given to him. He wanted to take the pain and trauma that he endured like these characters he saw on the screen and turn it into good to help others to make their lives just a little bit better whether it was through a laugh or smile or sharing a memory bonding over something they enjoyed. He was a vibrant, passionate, captivating soul. He did his best to show the people who he really loved and held dear what life meant to him.
He is survived by sons John Amendolia, Raymond "Junior Boy" Amendolia, Jr (Michelle), Michael Amendolia and Anthony Amendolia. His daughter Juliana Amendolia. His granddaughter Arielle Amendolia. His former wife Michele McCann. Sisters Adrienne (Saverio) and Toni-Marie (Thomas). And beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his grandparents Raymond and Pasqualina Visciano, uncle John Visciano, and father Fred Amendolia.
