Ray Thomas Dougherty, 67, formerly of Ridley Park and Norwood died on January 16, 2024.  Born in Darby, the son of the late Raymond and Marian Murter Dougherty, he lived in Norwood, Ridley Park and Quakertown before moving to Chester three years ago.

Ray attended Interboro High School and was employed as a Truck Driver at Suburban Materials.  He was a member of Springfield-Hanby Masonic Lodge #767 and the Lions Club.  Ray enjoyed clock making, collecting LGB Trains and he also loved eating dounuts.

He was the father of Maryann Waters (Tom), brother of Matthew Dougherty, Mark Dougherty and the late Cynthia Westcott, and was grandfather of Tommy and Cassidy Waters, Ray is also survived by his longtime friend Cynthia Houpt.

Burial Rite and Eucharist 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 16 W. 3rd St. Essington, PA  19029 where relatives and friends may call 9:30 to 10:15 AM.  Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
