1926-2022

Ralph P. Moore Sr., 95 of Prospect Park died June 29, 2022 at Plush Mills Senior Living in Wallingford, PA. He was the son of Charles T. Moore Jr. and Mary E. Moore.

He resided in Prospect Park for most of his life before moving to Wallingford. Ralph was a graduate of Prospect Park HS. He then served in the Navy for WWII and the Korean conflict. He was employed by Bell Telephone for 41 years. He served as Director and President of the Delaware County Assoc. of Boroughs and President of the PA State Assoc. of Boroughs. He received the Prospect Park Citizen of the year award, The Governor's Award for outstanding service to local government excellence, PA local government investment trust recognition, the D.C.A.B. Armstrong – Loughran award for his dedicated service to his community and D.C.A.B., PA State Assoc. of Boroughs award in appreciation for services to local government. P.S.A.B. Cecil K. Leberknight award for his many years of service. He also served on the Interboro School Board.  He was a member of Ridley Park Presbyterian Church. He loved his community, hunting and traveling, but most important was his family.

Ralph was the husband of the late Sara Kay Moore and a brother to the late C. Theodore Moore. Ralph and Sara were married for 70 years. He was survived by his children, Ralph Moore, Jr. (Deborah), Steven Moore, Sr. (Joanne), and Theodore Moore (Judith), 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM July 21, 2022, at Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078, where relatives and friends may call at 9:00 AM. Burial to follow in Media Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the church.
