R. Scott Zurinsky, 53, of Essington, died April 2, 2014 at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Scott was born in Ridley Park and lived in Florida prior to moving back to Pennsylvania twenty years ago.

He attended Ridley schools and graduated from Interboro High School, class of 1978. Scott earned an Associate's Degree at Delaware County Community College and continued his education at the University of Central Florida.

Scott was formerly employed as the Accounting Manager at the Airport Holiday Inn in Philadelphia and while in Florida he was the Assistant General Manager at the Orlando International Holiday Inn.

Scott was a caring, loving person who was devoted to his family and his many friends and co-workers.  He loved the beach, gardening and caring for the family dogs, but mostly he enjoyed helping his family and neighbors in any way that he could.

He was the son of the late Russell Zurinsky and brother of the late Ruthann Gay Zurinsky

Survivors:  his mother, Ruth Tkachuk Zurinsky and his brothers Russel Zurinsky and R. Keith (Maureen) Zurinsky.

Visitation 7:00 to 9:00PM Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA.

Service and burial: Private.
