Obituary

Phyllis "Rose" Jakofcich Malinowski, a former longtime resident of Aston died August 16, 2014 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born in Linwood, daughter of the late Peter and Phyllis Rafalont Jakofcich, she lived in Chester prior to moving to Aston in 1942.

Rose was last employed at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was a member of The Church of St. Joseph where she volunteered with many church fund raising activities and sang in the choir for 30 years. She enjoyed dancing at the Redwood, traveling, gardening and oil painting but most important was attending family activities.

She was wife of the late Edward J. Malinowski, who died in 1982, mother of the late William J. Malinowski, grandmother of the late Leah Malinowski and sister of the late Anna Pisch, Marie Wherry, Julia Krainz and P. John Jakofcich.

Survivors: mother of Charles J. Malinowski, Ronald M. Malinowski and Rosemarie Noble, sister of Charles Shore, also eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass: 10 AM Friday at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston

Visitation: 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston

Burial: St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery
