Obituary

Phillip R. Forcey, 83 of Wallingford, formerly of Ridley Township, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Curwensville, he was son of the late William Thomas and Mabel Phillips Forcey and lived in Ridley Township before moving to his late residence 29 years ago.

Phil was an active member of the Woodlyn Baptist Church, serving as a member of the choir, a deacon, and the Keenagers Club. He retired from Local 14 Asbestos Workers in 1987 after 34 years of dedicated service. Phil also served our country admirably as a member of the 2nd Armored Division, serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict (1950-1952).

Phil enjoyed painting, making people smile with his infectious sense of humor and entertaining his grandchildren. He attended West Philadelphia High School.

He was preceded in death by his son Steven M. Forcey and siblings Donald and Patricia Ann.

Survivors; his beloved wife of 58 years, Marion Vandergrift Forcey, sons; Richard P.Forcey (Maria) and Ronald L. Forcey (Linda), his grandchildren; Richard P. Forcey, II, Frank Salerno (Theresa), Carl Salerno (Kristen) and Matthew Salerno (Christine) and great-grandchildren; Graham and Landen Salerno and his brothers David and Thomas Forcey.

Memorial Service 11:00AM Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Woodlyn Baptist Church, 1125 Mac Dade Blvd., Woodlyn, PA 19094 where friends may call after 10:00AM. Burial Private.
