Philip F Lynch, 91, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away on December 3, 2021, at home, surrounded by his adoring family.  Born in Philadelphia to William and Elizabeth (Anderson) Lynch and was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1947.

Phil married his high school sweet heart Loretta Green and the amazing journey began, which lasted 60 years.  A Ridley Park resident for over 65 years he was involved in many organizations throughout that time.  He was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Parish for 65 years. He was actively involved in Ridley Park Athletic Club, Knights of Columbus Peace Council & a lifetime member of the American Legion Post in Eddystone & Millsboro, De.  He also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War.  He played softball and basketball well into his late 60's and stayed strong & healthy throughout his life.

Phil served in the United States Army in the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart and two Bronze Service Stars.  He was an electrician working 46 years in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW local 98 of Philadelphia and retired in 1993.  He was awarded his '70 th ' year pin as a member of this Union.

Phil spent ample time in the last 45 years enjoying his "Happy Place" down Rehoboth Beach where he loved working outside, strolling the boardwalk, eating out and having his huge family vacation with him and Loretta.  His shore house had a revolving door and all were welcomed.  His smile, hilarious sense of humor, generosity and overall selflessness will be deeply missed.  He was an all-around magnificent person and fell nothing short of perfection.  His life was a testament to the true gentlemen he was and his legacy will live on forever through his family
