Peter Timko, 96, of Eddystone died December 24, 2016 at his home. Born in Czechoslovakia, son of the late Anna and Michael Timko, he came to the United States in 1933 and lived in Nesquehoning before moving to his late residence in 1946.
Mr. Timko was a decorated US Army Veteran of WWII who served in Patton's 3rd Army at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge He was previously employed by Baldwin, Lima Hamilton Locomotive and was last employed by Dr. Saltz Dental Lab before retiring in 1990. Peter loved sitting on is front porch and enjoyed being with people and going to the casinos, but most important was time with his family.
He was husband of the late Mary Zelinko Timko and father of the late Peter J. Timko.
Survivors: father of Kurt M. Timko (Cindy), Ronnie Timko and Sharon A. Timko, brother of Michael Timko (Irene)
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Thursday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022, where friends may call from 8:45 to 9:45 AM.
Burial will take place at 1 PM at St. Mary's Cemetery in Nesquehoning, PA.
