Peter "Paul" Manera, 92 of Ridley Park died March 27, 2015 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Born in Messina, Italy, son of the late Rosario and Rosaria Mancuso Manera, Paul lived in the Germantown section of Philadelphia before moving to Ridley Park in 1972.
Mr. Manera retired from the Defense Supply Agency after 35 years employed as an electrician, he also operated a tailoring business in Aston. He was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and enjoyed gardening, tailoring, cooking and making homemade wine, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was husband of the late Arduina "Nina" Primus Manera who died on April 18, 2013 after 51 years of marriage.
Survivors: father of Loretta Boyle (Denis), Paul G. Manera, Mark R. Manera (Joyce) and Linda M. Carey (Jim), grandfather of Carley Boyle, Jimmy Carey, Brenden Boyle, Mark Manera and William Carey, also six sisters and one brother.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call 8:45 to 9:45 AM.
Entombment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
