Pauline C. Paulishak Mathusek, 95, of Swansboro, NC died October 8, 2016 at Carteret Health Care. Born in Olyphant, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Julia Petryk Paulishak and resided in Ridley Park for 57 years before moving to her late residence three years ago.
Pauline was employed by Midvalley Textile Mill making nylon netting to cover tanks during WWII. She later was employed by Lit Brothers Department Store and Folcroft Fabric Mill. Pauline was member of the Church of St. Madeline for 57 years, and St. Mildred's since moving to Swansboro.
In her private life, she was a seamstress that thought nothing of conjuring up anything from Halloween costumes to making wedding and bridesmade dresses for the family. When she moved to Swansboro, see joined the Sunshine Ladies, a charitable organization that crafted infant quilts and stuffed bears, and donated them to McDonald's houses, military support organizations, and EMS units, to help comfort children in a time of need.
She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Frank Mathusek, who died January 19, 1985 and her siblings, Frances P. Loftus, George Paulishak, Emma Sietsma, George Fron, Margaret Rutkowski and Susan Fron.
Pauline is survived by her children, Steven Mathusek (Mary) and Eileen Keenan (Late John); her five grandchildren; and her nine great grandchildren
