Paul W. O'Connell, Jr., 62 of RIdley Park died January 18, 2011 at Taylor Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, he was son of the late Paul W., Sr. and Anna Mayer O'Connell.

Mr. O'Connell worked at Bryn Mawr College for the past twelve years and previously was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 26 years, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of the Church of St. Madeline, was a music enthusiast, loved the guitar, the Flyers, Grateful Dead, and the Beatles.

Mr. O'Connell had a great sense of humor and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors:Wife Elizabeth "Betty" A. Herpel O'Connell, children; Paul W. O'Connell, III (Jennifer) of West Chester, Jason P. O'Connell (Lindsay) of Philadelphia, Sean P. O'Connell and Shannon R. O'Connell, both of Newtown Square, step-daughters; Lisa A. Mc Cormick (Scott) of Collegeville and Amy L. Duffy (Chris) of Springfield, sister; Joan L. Pilson (Frank) of Upper Darby, grandchildren; Troy, Aidan, Owen and Teagan.

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Saturday at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.
Visitation Friday 6:00 to 8:00PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park and Saturday 9:00 to 9:45AM at the Church. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
