Of Moyock, NC. Husband of Mary Murtha (nee Gallagher), father of Sheila Murtha (Frank Flutter), Debbie Pitt (Dennis), MSGT. Diane Michalek (USAF)(David), MSGT. Joanne Lauderman Adams(USMC Ret.) (Harry), Carol Violette (Walt), Michael Murtha (Patty), Paul Murtha (Fiancee Dede Eramo) and Teresa DiSalvatore (Paul). Brother of John Murtha, Eileen Savinski and the late Mary Ann "Nan" Cylc and Donald Murtha. Proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren.
Funeral mass 10 AM Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Church of The Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19810. Burial Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Visitation 7 to 9 PM Sunday and 8 to 9 AM Monday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston.
