Paul J. Magerr, 90, of Ridley Park died on March 18, 2022 at his daughter's home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William Leo and Grace Gibson Magerr.
Paul was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1949 and was a proud veteran of the US Army who served during the Korean War. He was employed as a Machine Repairman at GE for 35 years and had previously worked on trains for the B & O Railroad. Paul was a member of the Church of St. Madeline, the West Catholic High School Alumni and the Kingsessing Shamrocks Football Team. He was an avid Notre Dame fan. Paul had taken nine trips to Ireland and was known as the man on the bicycle but most important was his family.
He was the loving husband of the late Barbara A. Magee Magerr who died on February 12, 1989, father of Donna Seaman (Danny), Colleen Borden (Anthony), Shawn P. Magerr (Mary) and the late Barbara A. Magerr Conti Mathews, grandfather of Michael Conti, Christian and Justin Seaman, Kevin and Olivia Borden and Liam Magerr, great-grandfather of Eva and Sarah Conti, Kolton, Annison and Daxton Seaman, and brother of Eugene Magerr (Eleanor) and the late Leo, Edmond, Donald, Raymond, Arthur and Grace Magerr.
Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call 9:15 to 10:15 AM. Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
